Padel

ABOUT

ENJOY THE WORLD’S FASTEST-GROWING SPORT

Padel is a sport which combines action with a fun and social environment. It’s a great sport for players of all ages and skills, as it is both quick and easy to pick up. Most players get the basics within the first half an hour of playing so they can enjoy the game in no time.

Padel is a mix between Tennis and Squash, usually played in doubles on a court roughly the third of the size of a tennis court. The court, surrounded by walls of glass and metallic mesh, allows the ball to be bounced off of any wall.

Padel is not dominated by strength, technique, and serve like in tennis and therefore is an ideal game for men, women, and youth to compete together. An important skill is match-craft, as points are won rather by strategy than by sheer strength and power.

The Padel

Also known sometimes as the bat, padels are light and sturdy. The lack of strings can make it trickier to put spin on the ball compared to tennis or racquetball. New padels cost roughly as much as a tennis racquet.

The COurt

Padel courts are hard surfaces enclosed by 9 foot glass walls on each end. About 25% smaller than tennis courts, these arenas are designed for players to utilize hitting shots off the back of their walls or their opponents.
